PCAM is History that Flies!
The Flight Wing is the division of the Pacific Coast Air Museum dedicated to restoring and flying classic aircraft. We have actual flying museum aircraft.
The Flight Wing got its start near the end of 2013, with a number of donations of aircraft and funds. The Flight Wing has several aircraft in various stages of restoration. Some are flyable and others need a couple years of work first. The driving vision behind the Flight Wing is that aircraft are supposed to fly, so let’s get them flying.
All work is done under the supervision and/or inspection of mechanics licensed by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) according to FAA rules. All aircraft are inspected and held to the same rigorous standards as any other aircraft legally flying in the United States.
Join Flight Wing
All skills and experience levels are welcome to join Flight Wing. Members include students in their early teens, retired airline pilots, mechanics, accountants, private pilots, retired military, people with lots of experience, and others with zero prior experience around aircraft. If you’ve never hefted a screwdriver we will teach you. If you’ve maintained the most advanced aircraft, come and share your experience.
Flight Wing aircraft are available under certain conditions for passenger flights, in return for a donation to the Pacific Coast Air Museum or the Flight Wing of the Pacific Coast Air Museum.
