February 11, 2017: The Pacific Coast Air Museum has just announced its education schedule for 2017. We offer interesting and educational things for kids and young adults to do, and something they can brag about back at school. One girl summed it up best: she was learning about flying even before she learned to drive!
We offer four different aviation education courses. The two most popular have just been scheduled:
- Boy Scout Merit Badge Class: May 20, 2017 and October 7, 2017. This class earns your Boy Scout a Merit Badge in Aviation. Find out more.
- Aviation Summer School: Two exciting courses! Part 1 is June 5-9, 2017 and Part 2 is June 12-16, 2017. Both Aviation Summer School courses meet several of the California State Standards in Social Studies, Science, and Math. Find out more.
As usual, both of these classes take place at the Pacific Coast Air Museum, both require advance reservations, and both feature a graduation flight with one of our FAA-licensed volunteer pilots.
We also offer an Aviation History class and a Principles of Flight class, both of which are scheduled upon request. Find out more.
These classes tend to fill up fast, so register soon. They’re a great opportunity for kids to have fun and learn something really interesting on the weekends or during summer break.
