Aviation professional and former United Airlines mechanic Faride Khalaf will join us with his presentation on the Boeing 747 fuel system and everything you always wondered about the intricacies of what it takes to keep that jumbo jet’s four engines turning and burning.

| In a half hour presentation, Faride will review the evolution and birth of the Jumbo Jet, and reveal some unique design features of the 747 family of airplanes. He will make comparisons with other types, and some of the aircraft in competition. With colorful slides, he will give us a closer look at the anatomy of these giants; we will browse beneath their thin aluminum alloy skin and see what makes them go. Come and celebrate the 40th anniversary of this pedigree airplane. Faride made this 747 presentation at Oshkosh this summer. ![]() | |
