Linebacker Two Operations over N. Vietnam
Pacific Coast Air Museum member Charley Taylor will speak to us about "Line Backer Two - December 1972" A Naval Aviator's perspective of what occurred to get the North Vietnam to sign peace accords that resulted in the release of the American POWs held in North Vietnam and China.
Charley flew combat missions in the A-6 Intruder during that period and will talk about carrier operations and tactics and the Navy's role in support of the massive U.S. Air Force B-52 strikes on targets previously off limits during most of the air war over North Vietnam.
Charley retired after 25 years in the U.S. Navy having deployed on two combat cruises and two additional cruises all aboard the USS Enterprise (CVN-65). He made two additional deployments aboard the USS RANGER and USS KITTY HAWK as well as tours in San Diego and Washington D.C.
Charley currently works in County Government as a Labor Relation Negotiator with Contra Costa County. He and his wife and live in Cotati near their daughters and their families including three grand children in Petaluma.
