Christmas is coming early to PCAM this year! Through a generous gift of the United States Navy, EA-6B Prowler #158811 will be flying in to the Charles M. Schulz-Sonoma County Airport under her own power on Saturday, December 7, 2013. She will be landing, folding her wings, and shutting down her engines for the last time in preparation for permanently joining the PCAM collection of historical aircraft. She is expected to land at 1:00 p.m. after a couple ceremonial final passes and we'd like you to be present to help us celebrate.
The EA-6B Prowler is a naval electronic warfare aircraft, developed from the legendary A-6 Intruder to jam enemy radar, identify targets, and perform other electronic warfare activities vital in modern armed conflict. Introduced in 1971, the Prowler is now being phased out in favor of more modern aircraft. PCAM is honored to be the first museum on the West Coast to receive an example of this important aircraft. Read more about the Prowler.
The Prowler will be taxiing to a spot near the Butler Hangar, which should provide easy access for PCAM guests.
AOA Badge Holders: If you are a PCAM member and also have an AOA badge, we encourage you to participate. We'd like it if you would help us escort guests the short distance across Airport property to the reception site. So if you or any other PCAM member has an AOA badge and you want to see the arrival of a rare and very special airplane, please be at the Pacific Coast Air Museum by 12:45 on Saturday December 7!
This is a major event for PCAM. It will mark the first time in 18 years an aircraft has flown in under its own power to join our collection and we are planning an appropriate celebration in her honor. We invite all Museum members and the public to join us.

Santa Claus is most definitely coming to Town! He will pay PCAM his yearly visit, flying in aboard a bright red helicopter provided by REACH Air Medical Services. Children are invited to sit on Santa's lap and tell him their Christmas wishes. There will be treat bags for all kids who attend, as well as jumpees, an airplane or two open to climb aboard, and other attractions. Don't miss this fun and festive family event! Free of charge.
