Korean War Weekend
Korean War era combat aircraft:
A-26 Invader, F-84F Thunderstreak
F-86H Sabre, RF-86F Sabre (Reconnaissance version)
"Climb Aboard" these vintage aircraft, and learn about their history from the crews who lovingly restored them.
This month we are featuring four U.S. aircraft from the Korean War era. The A-26 Invader was first used in the later stages of World War II and saw extended use during the Korean War. The F-84F Thunderstreak was used primarily as a ground-attack aircraft. The RF-86F Sabre was an armed reconnaissance version of this magnificent and iconic first-generation jet fighter, and the F-86H was an improvement that utilized a larger engine and larger fuselage.
The F-84F Thunderstreak, RF-86F Sabre, and F-86H are on loan from the National Naval Aviation Museum at Pensacola, Florida.
