Where is the
Wings Over Wine Country Air
Show?
Charles M. Schulz - Sonoma County Airport, about five
miles north of Santa Rosa
off 101. Take the Airport Blvd
exit and go west about one mile to the parking areas, where
there will be free busses to the gate.
When is the Air
Show?
August 16th and 17th, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00
p.m. each
day.
Gates open at 9:00.
How much is
admission?
Children under 6: Free. Active duty service
members with current military ID card: Free. Children 6-12
years: $5.00. Seniors 65 and older:
$10.00. All others, presale purchased at the Air Museum or
at Round Table Pizza: $18.00. All others at the gate: $20.00.
Where can I get
presale tickets?
At the Air Museum Gift Shop and at Sonoma County Round
Table Pizza: $18.00 each. Selling of presale tickets ends
on Thursday,
August 17th.

I am a Pacific
Coast Air Museum Member; how do I get in free?
Go to the Will Call booth outside the gate, show your
current year Membership Card(s) and they will give you admission
tickets. If you have a Family Membership, each member age 6 or
over needs to show their card. If you have an Individual
Membership, only you are entitled to a free ticket.
May I get in free
if I belong to another museum, but not PCAM?
No.
Is there any other
way I can get in free?
Become a volunteer for the day or for the weekend: call
707-837-0148.
Are there pit
passes available?
No.
May I get in early?
Not until the main gate is open at 9:00 a.m.
May I leave the
show and come back in?
Yes, but only if you have your hand stamped at the exit
gate for reentry on the same day.
What about parking?
Parking is in designated parking lots near the Air
Show, for a donation of $3.00 per vehicle (donations benefit the
Boy Scouts, who help with the parking). Free shuttle busses run
continuously to and from the parking areas and the Air Show main
gate area.
What about
handicapped parking?
There will be handicapped parking available right
outside the main gate.
Is there any
overnight camping?
No.
Is there any public
transportation to the airport?
Yes - Sonoma County Transit has busses from various
locations in Sonoma County. For more information call

What kind of
airplanes will be at the Air Show?
Just about every type: vintage, modern military,
aerobatic, war birds, helicopters, models, etc.
What is on the
program?
So far we have the C-17--and the
Navy F/A-18--
Tactical Demonstration Teams; civilian aerobatic performers. There will also be warbird fly-bys,
special
demonstrations, etc. Of course, as always, the ramp will be full
of
aircraft on display, including many from the Pacific Coast Air
Museum
open to climb aboard.
Are there any ATMs
on the premises?
Yes (usually), outside the main gate.
Are pets allowed at
the Air Show?
Only Guide Dogs and certified Companion Dogs are
allowed; absolutely no other animals.
Is the Air Show
wheelchair accessible?
Yes, but we do not have wheelchairs available for loan
or rent.
May I bring a bike
or scooter?
Yes, but you need to leave it locked outside the gate
in an unguarded area.
Are there
bleachers?
Yes, for a fee of $5.00 for the day.
May I bring folding
chairs and/or umbrellas?
Yes, but keep in mind we do have bleacher
seating. If you bring an umbrella, please make sure it's
small enough to not block the view of other visitors.
May I bring
picnic
coolers or backpacks?
Yes, but please do not bring alcoholic beverages. ALL bags,
backpacks, camera cases, coolers, and other items will be
searched at the gate prior to being admitted to the show.
Will there be food
and drink available?
Yes, there will be many concessions offering hot and
cold food, beer, bottled water and soft drinks.
Is smoking
permitted?
By Federal Regulation, smoking is forbidden anywhere
on airport property except in specially designated areas.
Is there a
children's play area? Are babysitters available?
No.
Is there a place to
store valuable temporarily at the Air Show?
No.
When and where is
airspace around the Air Show limited for other air traffic?
PCAM does not answer this. Refer to NOTAMs and/or
the STS tower.
Are there free
lunches for volunteers?
Yes -- refer to your Volunteer Handbook for details.
Are there picnic
tables available?
There are tables at the Pancake Breakfast area, but
they are behind the hangar and you can't see the Air Show action
from there.
Where is the
vendor's gate?
Flightline Drive. Prior to the Air Show, vendors
are issued wrist bands for themselves and for their
employees. Only those wearing wrist bands or possessing
tickets will be allowed through the vendor gate or any other
entrance. If you are an employee of a vendor, and he or
she has not given you a wrist band, you will have to buy a
ticket at the main gate to get in, then get reimbursed by your
employer. Just saying your work for a vendor will not get
you in.
