Antiques, war-birds, and contemporary aircraft performed flybys and also parked on the ramp for an up-close and personal look. One of the exciting features of the PCAM Airshow is the opportunity to touch and feel the awesome power and might of these historic machines which have meant so much to our history. Military flybys inspire you with their precision and power: some were on static display when not in the air. Many visitors had an opportunity to climb aboard a jet fighter or walk through an open cargo/transport plane.

An added feature this year was expanded displays of military and antique vehicles, all open for up close inspection and viewing. Vendors displayed models, T-shirts, books, and crafts which were available for inspection and purchase.

The gates opened at 9:30 a.m. for pre-show activities including radio controlled model aircraft demonstrations. The main Airshow events kicked off promptly at 10:00 a.m. with a skydiving performance by Skydive Santa Rosa.

P-51's, a B-25, F7F, F8F, Sea Fury's, C-130, Provost, Strikemaster, MiG 15, F6F, P-40, and Yak's were just samples of what you could see at the Airshow. As we work hard to make each Airshow the best ever, events and performers appeal to kids and adults of all ages. The “Sound of Freedom” demonstrates the power, the sound, and the glory of flight that makes all of us proud.

Several other aircraft were open. Visitors are always encouraged to walk through PCAM's UH-1 Huey, HU-16 Albatross, and rare Russian IL-14 Transport. Imagine yourself a Top Gun pilot while sitting in the cockpit of an F-16N Viper or an F-14 Tomcat.
