Just About Right
Loading the SR-71 nose was a
real challenge. The plan had been to put it in the Penske truck.
But alas, it was two inches too wide and one inch too high. The
Barstow crew obligingly fork lifted the nose and dolly onto the
recovery team's largest trailer, as shown in the photo. But
alas, the wheels of the dolly were a tad too wide for our
trailer.
