To the Point
The Delta Dart is one of the
series of "Century" fighters
(F-100,101,102,104,105,106,107) built in the 50's and 60's that
emphasized speed! The Delta is a reference to the tail
less wing form that is essentially a triangular shape (like the
Greek symbol Delta) and the Dart is pretty
obvious.
