On Station
We have been working on
restoring the cockpit section for some time now. It is almost
impossible to located parts from aircraft of the late 1940 to
mid 1950 era. So far we have located a few instruments and
other odds and ends but have a long way to go for a completely
restored cockpit. Both myself and one of the crew flew on
DC-6's as flight engineers and co-pilots so there is an
emotional attachment to this project.
