Desert Storm
Restored to her former glory,
War Eagle wears her Desert Storm markings of
Attack Squadron 155 the Silver Foxes. VA-155 flew 635
sorties, and dropped
2,289,940 pounds of ordnance, making life miserable for the
Iraqis. Intruder modex 403 was the operations officers'
bird, and most of her rudder kill markings came from the Iraqi
"highway of death." She also saw combat in
Vietnam with VA-165 the boomers, on board the USS Constellation
from Oct 1971 to Jun 1972.
