This aircraft was built in Poland as a Lim-l (Mig-15) single seat fighter at the PZL factory in Mielec in 1953.

The aircraft was upgraded to a Lim-2 (MiG-l5bis) in 1959.

In 1967 the aircraft was converted into a two seat trainer, SB Lim-2 (MiG-l5UTI)

The aircraft made it's last Polish military flight on February 20, 1992 with a total of 2835.0 hours of time on the airframe and 120 hours since overhaul on the engine. The engine and airframe had their last factory overhaul in 1988.

The aircraft was shipped to the U.S. in early 1993. Bruce and Steve traded a BT-13 project for the MiG in January of 1994. The aircraft made it's first U.S. flight on July 20, 1995 with John Penney at the controls.

The aircraft can be seen at many PCAM's events and displays and flies regularly.
